Your data.
Your Mac.
This policy explains ACIACV’s local data handling, optional network features and macOS permissions in plain language.
Data stored on your Mac
Clipboard history, preferences, recording settings and recordings you choose to save are stored locally on your Mac. Clipboard items can contain sensitive information. Protect your macOS account and use ACIACV’s clear controls when you no longer need saved items.
ACIACV does not intentionally send clipboard contents, saved recordings, microphone audio, URLs or device metrics to an ACIACV-operated server. This describes the app’s intended behavior; it does not describe the separate practices of services you choose to connect to.
Optional services and network use
Some optional features communicate with third-party services to perform the action you request. Internet speed tests send traffic to a test service. Video tools may access the selected online source. Temporary email providers handle the temporary address and messages they receive. Those providers apply their own terms, privacy policies, processing and retention practices.
Do not use temporary inboxes for private, financial, medical, password-reset or account-recovery messages. Do not submit content to a third-party service unless you are comfortable with that service’s practices.
Permissions
macOS may request screen recording, microphone, accessibility, file access or other permission for a feature that needs it. You can review or change app access in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Permission categories and available readings vary with macOS and your Mac model.
Files and support requests
PDF and image operations use the app’s local tools; ACIACV does not intentionally upload those files to an ACIACV-operated server. Mac Care reviews information it can read and does not delete files. When contacting support, send only information needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, private clipboard contents, recordings or personal files unless you have first removed sensitive material and chosen to share it.
